Yes, that's right. You might already know that I am in the process of making a cool trailer about my Urban Mobile Lifestyle and I just gave a tour of my RV with lots of pictures. RV Living – Cool RV People To Follow

Do you know anyone who is living in their RV's? Are there any RV blogs that you follow? Which ones do you like the best?

When I started living in my RV about year and a half ago I did not know anyone else who were doing the same thing. Little did I know that there are literally hundreds of people who are living this kind of out of box lifestyle and loving it.

In the beginning it was a bit scary thing to do because at times I felt like I was crazy for doing it. But it has turned out to be one of the most amazing decisions and I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience and the freedoms that come with this lifestyle.

In my main blog, I decided to write about 5 cool people who are also doing the RV living thing and loving it. So go check it out.

I will reveal to you that one of the guys used to be a professional gambler, one of the guy is a cool internet marketing surfer dude, another is a tall video producer who lives with his cat, another one achieved financial freedom at the age of 30 and the finally one of the guys is actually living out of his truck.

Minimalism And RV Living Does Not Have To Be Boring Or Unfashionable

Who said minimalism and RV living had to be boring ?? I am currently trying to make a trailer about my James Bond style Urban Mobile Lifestyle. It is still a working process. I am trying to see if there is interest for people in finding out more about this type of lifestyle and how to live in their RV's in Urban areas? Have you ever considered it? What kind of questions would you have?

Getting Ready For Hot RV Video Shoot!

I have not really gotten a good video of how my RV looks like. I am planning to do a video tour soon. But I thought I would post this youtube video that I found so you get a better idea about how my RV looks like and get a better sense of how I like to do my Urban Mobile RV Living (except where you see those passenger seats, I have extra cabinets for added storage).

RV Living – RV Living in Cities, The New Trend!

RV living in cities is becoming a popular trend.

Last night a security guard walked toward my RV around 11:30pm at night. I had started my engine to begun to move my RV due to the weekly street cleaning in that street. He approached my vehicle with what I thought was a stern look. I thought I was in trouble. I had been parked in that street the entire week. I knew he was the security guard of the big building across the street.

As he walked closer he signaled me to lower my window. He asked me: “Is this a mobile home?” I told him no, and explained him that it was just a van as I did not want to get in any trouble.

To my surprise he looked a little disappointed and told me: “No? Really, I thought this was like a mobile home, I have been thinking about buying one and I wanted to ask if you knew more about living in one?”

Realizing that he was not coming to give me a parking ticket or asking me to not park here again, but instead he was sincerely curious about considering RV living in cities himself, I told him: “Yes, this is a RV actually”.

He explained that almost all of his money as a night guard goes to pay his rent in his meager apartment. He said that he had seen me in that street in several occasions ☺ and thought that what I was doing was brilliant, no expensive rent to pay and ultimate freedom. He started excitedly dreaming out loud about the endless possibilities to take off to Yosemite national park whenever he wanted or move to the beach if he felt like it.

Agreeing with him of course ☺, we chatted for a while and I gave him this blog address and my contact information if he ever needed any advice on how to get started.

But although I was genuinely surprised by his keen interest in RV living, as I explained in my first article on living in RVs, I am think RV living in cities will soon become a growing trend. I believe it will first start in expensive cities like San Francisco, a city that is also very suitable for this lifestyle, and will then gradually take form in other cities in other parts of the United State as well and from there possibly become more popular in other countries as well. My random conversation with a security guard last night was simply confirmation to my beliefs that this trend will soon take off. And instead of getting a ticket, he told me that he would guard my van when I am parked in the same street. I thought how cool is that ☺!

Living In RVs

Living in RVs is becoming a popular trend. More people are not only traveling full time with their RVs, but more people are also beginning to explore RV living in cities and other urban areas. I predict that living in RVs will soon become a viable lifestyle alternative to modern living.

It used to be that RV living was often reserved for only retired people living in RV parks or for homeless people who often had no other choice. This has changed. Due to the technological advances work can now often be done wirelessly anywhere in the world with a laptop and a connection to Internet. This change has also opened the possibilities for truly mobile lifestyles, living in RVs being one of them.

The benefits for choosing a RV lifestyle are many. It is economical, sustainable, minimalistic, and it is also becoming more and more fashionable.

By living in your RV, you don’t have to worry about rent or mortgage, property taxes, homeowner’s insurance, association fees, or any other maintenance costs that depending where you live can amount to a lot of money.

With the solar technology you can produce enough electricity to conveniently sustain your electrical needs. I am personally planning soon to convert my diesel engine into bio diesel and in so doing I will begin to also promote zero carbon footprint living, which makes RV living truly a green alternative to modern living.

RV living also promotes minimalistic and simplistic lifestyle. While you become detached to your worldly possessions you actually gain more freedom to simply experience more of what life has to offer instead.

Living in RVs can also be fashionable. No one has yet to call my sprinter RV 2009 ERA model and eye shore or unattractive. And the mobility you gain living in RVs gives you more options and benefits than you probably can even think of.

For example, say you have to be in the downtown of a large city at 8:00am. Instead of having to drive through rush hour in the morning, you can simply drive alone at night, park your RV in the best parking spot (given you have a smaller RV, of course) and simply wake up relaxed and prepared to go to your meeting or function.

Obviously, there are many downsides to RV living also, especially if you travel or live without RV parks and hook ups. You have to dump your holding tanks periodically and fill your RV with water. It is hard to throw a big party or hold a family reunion in a RV as your living space is, of course, limited. But with a membership to a gym or a spa your life can still be fairly luxurious.

I have experimented in living in my RV in cities for almost a year now and I have personally thoroughly enjoyed it.
